Lee Hyun Woo Promoting ‘To the Beautiful You’ in Malaysia
(14 October 2012) South Korea actor Lee Hyun Woo has embarked on his publicity tour to Malaysia in promotion of his new drama “To The Beautiful You” (airing on ONE HD every Wednesday and Thursday) staring Choi Min Ho, Choi Su Li and Lee Hyun Woo.
Before the meet and greet session in the afternoon, there is a small interview session carried out during press conference in the morning. During the interview session, Lee Hyun Woo said that he is actually very surprised that he is receiving such warm welcome from Malaysia fans and really thankful for it as he did not expect for so many people knowing him.
During interview session with Lee Hyun Woo, Newskaki.com brought out few questions for him as below:
Q : Which character are closer to your own personality based on your previous character of other drama?
A : Judging on previous acting in different drama, I actually felt that every character of mine have common similarity, I personally thinks that all my previous character reflect a little common characteristic I have.
Q: What role do you wish to undergo in the future?
A : At this point of my acting career, I have not decide yet which role to act as it is quite difficult to make a decision now, so I would choose not to make a decision right now on what character I wish to act.
Q: How do you actually overcome the process of turning from a premium child actor to an adult actor?
A : I am not sure about other overseas child actor, I would like to have an natural progression in the transformation of a child actor to an adult actor, letting it to happen naturally as I don’t think there will be any hard time for me in this aspect.
Q: Can you describe your ideal type of girl? Can you accept elder girl or do you prefer younger girl?
A : Basically I have no any specific ideal type of girl. However, age doesn’t matter as long as the chemistry is there.
Q: As everyone knows, To the beautiful you was based on Hisaya Nakajo’s series called “Hanazakari no Kimitachi e”, it was a very famous series that are filmed by Taiwan cast and Japanese cast. Do you actually watch both country’s version of ‘HANA KIMI’ in order to get more familiar in portraying your character ‘CHA EUN GEOL’?
A : I did read “Hanazakari no Kimitachi e” comic, but due to my busy schedule, I can only manage to read up to comic 1 & 2 but not all, I did not watch other version of “HANA KIMI” because I wanted to create a whole new CHA EUN GEOL that are different from other version.
Q: During the shooting of “To the beautiful you”, which is the most memorable scene you can think of?
A: Shooting To the beautiful you was fun, especially when we get to play along during shooting, for example riding mountain bikes together, I enjoyed a lot during shooting this series, we took a lot of photos too ( To the beautiful you cast), It was a memorable and beautiful memories during the shooting of this drama.
Q: There are rumors out there saying that you look like G-dragon from Big Bang. What do you think about this?
A: ahhhhh, kamshahamida ! ( he was really cute, showing happy faces in hearing such compliments! ) he replied Thank you few times and said he is a fan of G-dragon and is very happy in receiving such comments.
The meet and greet session held in Sungei Wang Plaza in the afternoon, 140 lucky Astro Circle winners received a pair of passes and entitled to attend One HD exclusive meet and greet event to meet Lee Hyun Woo up close and personal. During the meet and greet session, 5 lucky fans were choose to go up stage and sing “Cha Eun Geol’s famous KIYOWO song, the winners will be entitled to take a personal selca with him! Lee Hyun Woo is really a sweet and nice guy as he decided to choose all 5 of them as winner and warmly gave each of them a warm hug and a sweet polaroid selca!
During the meet and greet session, the organizers also prepared Malaysia famous food such as Satay, Nasi Lemak and Char Kuey Teow for Lee Hyun woo to have a try. Hyun woo video taste on satay and give a cute reaction by saying its delicious! When he tastes Nasi Lemak, he looks confused on the special aroma of Nasi Lemak and showing interest in knowing the ingredients used to cook Nasi Lemak. Lastly, he said good, and “I LOVE IT” after trying different variety of Malaysia local food and give a conclusion which he thinks that Malaysia food are all taste different.The most important highlight of the day was Lee Hyun Woo special Live singing video ‘KIYOWO’ song to Malaysian fans! The meet and greet session lasted about 30-45 minutes, giving fans a good opportunity to look at their idol. Throughout the meeting session, Lee Hyun Woo is really friendly and cute; smiling throughout the meeting session causing everyone in Sungei Wang crowd with cheers for him!
